Accompanying The Lord of the Rings in Concert will be a display of props created during the production of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy from the private collection of Troika Brodsky.
Concertgoers will have the rare opportunity to view some of the actual, iconic weapons, shields, helmets and costumes featured in The Fellowship of the Ring, including Frodo’s sword “Sting”, Gimli’s battle-axe, a complete Ringwraith costume, and even a pair of hairy Hobbit feet.
A self described “massive fan” of both J.R.R. Tolkien’s books as well as director Peter Jackson’s early films, Troika Brodsky began collecting artifacts from the production of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy nearly a decade ago and now currently has the most comprehensive collection of props from the films in private hands, second only to the official studio archive in New Zealand.
